I Have No Legs

I was talking to a man who had no legs, and he said his wounds were greater than mine.

After all, I had two arms and two legs and full use of my body. I couldn’t argue. He did have a strong point. So for a second, our conversation grew silent.

Then, I responded,

How many times do you leave your house every week?

 He chuckled as he exclaimed,

I don’t know. Many!

I told him,

Looks like legs aren’t the key to walking.

The next time I saw my therapist, I greeted her and then I immediately burst out in anxiety,

I have no legs!

And I truly believed it.
